These questions assume everyone has finished the book and contain spoilers, including the ending.
This novel gives book clubs plenty to argue about: magical bargains, alternate lives, jealous Fates, and the messy question of whether love is proved by tests or by trust. The mirror's many possibilities make every character's choices feel both personal and cosmic, which keeps the conversation lively.
Use these questions to spark conversation, not to march through the plot. Pick a few that fit your group's mood, or work through them in order. Let disagreements breathe, and don't worry if you land somewhere unexpected.
Characters and Choices
- 1.Evangeline touches the Mirror of Infinite Endings even after telling herself she loves Jacks and the Hollow and is happy with her ending. Did you agree with her choice to look for what else could be, and what does that moment reveal about her curiosity and her unspoken fears?
- 2.In the mirror world, Evangeline nearly marries Luc Navarro, then sees him back away from the frozen garden and leave with Marisol. How did that alternate Luc change your understanding of Evangeline's real feelings for Jacks and her fear of being left behind?
- 3.Jacks insists that Fates cannot love and that he will destroy Evangeline if she stays, but he also binds his life to hers and tells her they should go home. How do you reconcile the Jacks who calls himself a monster with the Jacks who wants forever with Evangeline?
