Deal Breaker Characters
by Susie Tate

Deal Breaker has a big, busy cast. Poppy Sterling and Rory Wallace anchor it: she is the red carpet interviewer and earl's daughter with a bubbly public face and private insecurity; he is the Scottish rugby player and coach carrying class insecurity and old assumptions about Poppy. Around them are rugby mates, an aristocratic family, charity workers, journalists, WI friends, and a few scene stealing kids and Grannies.
On this page you'll find each character's role, a short description, their key relationships, and the arcs they move through without spoiling the ending. It covers everyone from the main couple and Alastair's entitled harassment to supporting players like Connor, Mhairi, Rafe, Clara, and the wider Sterling and Wallace circles.
