The Unknown Characters
by Riley Sager

This novel throws together a full ensemble: a desperate unknown lead, a manipulative director, a movie star with a secret plan, and a whole island of people who may be in on it. Marin Keane anchors the story, but every supporting player, from the boatman to the ghostly historical figures, has a reason to be suspicious.
On this page you'll find each character's role in the story, a breakdown of their personality and motivations, how their arcs unfold, and how they connect to Marin, Ronan, and the island's dark history. Spoiler-free, but grounded in the full cast list.
