Thornbird Book Club Questions

These questions assume everyone has finished the book and contain spoilers, including the ending.
Thornbird gives book clubs a lot to dig into: hidden identities, family secrets, complicated loyalties, and the long shadow of a parent's crimes. The story asks uncomfortable questions about guilt, forgiveness, and whether honesty always means kindness, so readers will likely disagree with each other in the best way. It also balances a tense mystery with a tender romance, which makes for lively conversations.
These fifteen questions are designed to move from character choices to bigger themes. You can use them in order, or pick the ones that spark the most debate. There are no right answers, just different ways of seeing the same moments. Let each reader's take lead the discussion.
Secrets, Lies, and Hidden Truths
- 1.Did you agree with Ryan's decision to keep her identity as Gabrielle Thorn hidden from Jasmine and Connor, or would it have been kinder to tell them the truth from the start?
