The Hollow by Michael Connelly Book Cover
This character guide covers arcs across the whole book and may contain spoilers.

The Hollow has a big, layered cast. Harry Bosch anchors the story as the homicide detective pulled back into the MacLaren past and the Jennifer Talbot cold case, while Renée Ballard, Mickey Haller, and a federal task force orbit the investigation. Around him are old MacLaren figures, Novak's crew, the Talbot family, and witnesses from Bosch's past.

On this page you'll find each character's role in the case, short descriptions, and how they connect to Bosch and each other. The guide covers investigators, suspects, victims, task-force players, and MacLaren staff, with notes on their arcs and relationships.
