Vi Keeland's The Fall Affair gives book clubs plenty to sink their teeth into. Between secret affairs, family secrets, and complicated inheritances, the story asks big questions about trust, fear, and whether people can really start over. These characters make messy choices, which makes them perfect for discussion.
Use these questions to guide your conversation, but let them spark more than simple yes or no answers. Pick the topics that interest your group, skip what does not fit, and let everyone share their own take. There are no wrong answers, only different ways of seeing the same scenes.
Allegra's Choices and Blind Spots
- 1.When Allegra spotted the red-soled Louboutins under Harry's desk and later saw the same shoes on Sierra, did you think her drunken men's-room confrontation was justified, or should she have waited and used the information strategically?
- 2.Allegra booked her appointment to meet Camilla under Cassie's name, only to realize Camilla had known about her for years. Did you agree with the way Allegra engineered that first meeting, or did it make the eventual sisterly bond harder to trust?
- 3.When Allegra proposed a no-strings fling and Matteo refused because he wanted something real, Cassie later told Allegra she was self-sabotaging. Did you read Allegra's proposal as fear or as genuine uncertainty about her future?

The Shadow of Isabella
- 9.Bianca walked away from Matteo because she would not be 'the girl stuck in someone else's unfinished story.' Knowing everything about Izzy by the end, did you think Bianca was right, and did Matteo ever truly close that chapter before Allegra?
- 10.Matteo assumed the collected tea set was a thoughtful gift, then realized each painted location was somewhere Isabella fell in love with another man. How did that discovery reframe the tea set, and was Matteo's pain understandable even though Allegra had not known Isabella painted it?

Nonna's Influence and the Finale
- 13.Nonna's will required Allegra to spend three months in Tuscany before inheriting, and Antonio Fanelli said she wanted Allegra to inherit a different pace of life. Did that condition feel like loving meddling or an unfair manipulation of her grief?
- 14.Sophia's posthumous letters, including the birthday note that made Matteo chase Allegra and the wedding letter confessing to 'a little matchmaking from beyond the grave,' tie the ending together. Did that device feel like a satisfying conclusion to Nonna's story, or did it resolve too neatly?
- 15.At their wedding, Matteo says real love isn't about being fearless but about choosing to stay when afraid, and Allegra says she is staying forever. Was their reconciliation earned after all the miscommunication, or should one of them have spoken up sooner?
