Picture This is the kind of romance that gives a book club a lot to talk about. It has matchmaking, mistaken intentions, and a slow burn that depends on timing and trust. The story also weaves in heavier topics like online betrayal, family guilt, and class differences, so conversations can go beyond simply who ends up with whom.
Use these questions however they fit your group. You can work through them in order, or pick the topics that sparked the most reaction while reading. There are no right answers. The goal is to explore choices, motives, and moments. Let different readers lead, and don't rush past the uncomfortable questions.
Characters and Choices
- 1.Delylah initially avoids Jake and resents Emily's matchmaking. Did you think Emily's persistence was charming or overbearing, especially after she arranged the glamping double date without telling Delylah?
- 2.Noah made a promise to Emily eight years ago to stay away from Delylah, but he decides to break it. Did you agree with his choice, or should he have honored Emily's wishes?
