These questions assume everyone has finished the book and contain spoilers, including the ending.
This novel gives book clubs plenty to unpack: loyalty, family, money, music, and the hard choices people make when love and danger collide. The characters are messy in ways that feel real, so opinions will vary.
Use these questions to guide conversation, not to test anyone. Pick a few that spark debate, let quieter members jump in, and let disagreements stand. There are no right answers here. The goal is honest talk about what the story made you feel and question.
Trust, Family, and Loyalty
- 1.After Hype and Chuckee hold Kamilla at gunpoint during the mini mart robbery, C4 intervenes and later drives her home. How does that first rescue shape Kamilla's willingness to trust Cairo despite Aunt J's warning to stay away from him?
