Enzo Ferrante, also called Vincenzo Ferrante, is a closeted gay Camorra enforcer and son of the abusive Don Vello Ferrante. He poisoned his father, hides psoriasis and self-inflicted scars, and avenges murdered Ferrante strippers with torture and killing. He is arranged to marry Katya Rasputin but later comes out as gay after an affair with FBI agent Tom Rothwell.

Arc: Enzo moves from repression and self-destruction into secret obsession with Tom, violent retribution, coming out to his family, breaking his engagement, therapy, and finally forgiving Tom and accepting his marriage proposal. Tom Rothwell, also called Thomas Rothwell, Tyler, and Tomcat, is an FBI special agent who surveilled Enzo for three years as part of the Ferrante case. He is bi, ex-military, rigid, controlling, and haunted by PTSD and grief over Matt. He kills Cash and falls for Enzo despite his moral code.

Arc: Tom moves from wanting to imprison Enzo and use him as an informant to sabotaging his own case to save him, confessing love, being put on paid leave and cleared, accepting a counterterrorism position, and proposing to Enzo.

Arc: His plan collapses when the FBI raids the port; he flees, is captured by Enzo, tortured, killed, and later skinned into jackets.
